Minutes
Present: The following were the only seven members in attendance.

The meeting was called to order at 9.40 with the seventh member coming and making a quorum. O.J Pilcher , Vice President of the board presided in the absence of the president John Gannon. Tom Konno , secretary, was absent and Syed Hyder was volunteered to keep the minutes of the meeting.
The board unanimously approved the minutes of the last June 24, 2010 meeting.
Budget: Ted Roshinski reviewed the budget figures and indicated that there is balance of $470 from a budgeted amount of $1816. Harry Emerzian asked about the total number of members and was given a number of 135 members by Ted Roshinki . The actual playing members is between 70 to about 85 at the peak, he suggested that the rest non playing members may have joined to participate in the socials as well as to establish a handicap. He also indicated that there are enough funds in the budget for the Annual Lunch and prizes.
O.J. Pilcher and John Gannon are expected to take care of arranging to obtain plaques for the tournament winners.
Jim Clark , Ted Roshinski and Lee Tsai will be attending the NCGA meeting and tournament from the SSGC.
Membership update and September Shotgun update were not made available as both Jim Schmidt and Dave Bilken were absent.
Greens Committee: Harry Emerzian reviewed the encounter he had with one of the playing Mountain View Council member and told the board that there does not seem to be any consensus as to what will be the future course the city will take in running the golf course. The city has hired an architect and engineer to find out what it will take to fill the water ponds and do some landscaping of the filled ponds. The survey of the ponds areas has been going on lately and no decision has been made yet as the whole city council has to consent.
Website: Syed Hyder told the board that the website traffic peaks on Mondays as most players, especially those who expect to win, log on to check the results! The notice of the upcoming Annual meeting and elections together with the application form to join before September 8 is posted on the web , the application form is a printable version. The names of the nominated members is also posted. OJ. Pilcher suggested putting the dates as well as the last day of application on the pop up at the website. Jim Chiochios will also see to it that hard copies of the application form is also available and will be left at the greeters table on Mondays. Ted Roshinski volunteered to take care of ballot counting after the voting for the new board. Printing of the ballots will probably be taken care of by Jim Clark and Ted Roshinski.
Handicap: O.J. Pilcher suggested picking up the tournament results prepared by Jim Clark on Mondays on alternate Mondays with Syed Hyder . The board unanimously applauded the effort and dedication shown by Jim Clark in tabulating the tournament results and the collected money and also volunteering cheerfully to undertake the duties of the greeter.
Tee Times: Lee Tsai when questioned by Jim Chiochios how the PF numbers are allotted as some time his group does not make the foursome required to keep a 4.0 average, replied that: Absence from showing up at the Monday tournament must be reported to the pro shop on or before prior Friday without penalty, no more than two excused absence without substitute for each unexcused absence, one penalty point will be assessed for each penalty point, 0.1 will be deducted from their PF rating for the month any foursome may request and be granted the tee time of another foursome whose PF rating is lower provided that the new tee time no more than 4 tee group apart.
New Business: Jim Chiochios indicated that on twelve members signed up to play Callippe golf.
