About the Newsletter....

As you know there was a discontinuance in the newsletter last year. The newsletter will be resumed this year on a quarterly basis. The first edition will be sent out to all members as it contains the 2009 membership list, the golfing schedule, a form for the Valentine Dance and the Conditions of Competition. All of the editions will be available on the website. In the past, many members requested that they receive a copy sent to them as * they did not have access to the internet or just because they wanted a copy sent to them. This is still available, but those members should contact either Hideo Hashimoto or Don Sutton. The greeter program that was discontinued for a period of time last year has also been renewed.

Valentine Day Dinner Dance                                                                                                                                                      £

The dance has been mentioned in the president's message. This year Frank Frankhauser,          *
the Social Chairman, has arranged for a dinner dance on Saturday, February 14, Valentine
Day. This dinner dance will replace the one that we normally have in October. So talk to
your friends and come out and have a good time.                                                      '

Poppy Hills Golf Trip                                                                  -

Although it is not a club sponsored event, Hideo Hashimoto has proceeded to make a reservation for 36 players at Poppy Hills Golf Course on Thursday, August 27, starting at 9:40 A.M. Anyone wishing to play in this tournament should contact Hideo as soon as possible as these starting times will fill quickly.

From the Tournament Chairman

Some of ow members have been getting a little sloppy lately with their scorecards, We have received cards with no names written on the scoring line or an unreadable signature. So those cards that can not be identified will be disqualified. It helps to follow the example of the scorecard that is ddisplayed on the greeters table when you sign in.

Member Input

This newsletter is to keep all of the members informed of what is going on and what is planned in the future. But probably, some of the best stuff is what the members could contribute. There are many golfing stories and funny things that happen out there each time that we play. So if you would like to share some of these stories with other members, give the story to Hideo Hashimoto or Don Sutton .and we will get it in the newsletter.

Demo Day

Demo Day at Shoreline this year will be held on Saturday April 18th
