1. Goose and Coot Management Update
Jack mentioned that the City will
continue the process of goose population stabilization on a regional basis in
the spring. The City is in the process of setting up a meeting of local Cities
and agencies to develop a plan to have as many agencies as possible oil goose
eggs this spring.
2. Tee Leveling and Pathway Repairs
Jack updated the committee that 12 red,
white and blue, 17 white and blue and 15 blue and white tees have been started
to be leveled. Jack also mentioned that pathways on 3, 12 and 18 were repaired
September 29 and 30.
4. Superintendent’s Update
Steve mentioned that aeration on tees,
greens and half the fairways were completed. The remaining fairways will be
completed in the next few weeks.
Steve told the committee that 2.75 inches
of rain were received and that two diseases have appeared on the greens. The
greens were sprayed and light topdressing of sand will be applied to smooth
them out from the aeration. Staff has also started to install fencing around
key greens and tee areas to minimize the damage caused by the coots.
