CLUB PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS:
June has come and gone along with the Club Championship Tournament.
The annual BBQ and luncheon is also history for another year.
Thanks to Frank Frankhauser for arranging the pairings and Handicaps for the Tournament. He also, again, provided us with a great lunch with the help of Michael’s restaurant. A great time was had by all, thanks again Frank for another great job.
Thanks should also go to Bruce Fujikawa for getting some great prizes for the drawing after lunch. Bruce always seems to get the most for our money, thanks to the help of Greg in the pro shop. Of course without the help of Bruce’s wife, making sure each member gets a ticket (and only one), the Drawing could be something different, thanks to Mrs. Fujikawa.
Most of you probably noticed the binder at the Greeter’s Table with pictures of each Monday foursome. If your foursome some how missed having their picture taken or you would like to retake the picture because one of your regulars was missing please let us know and will try to remedy the oversight. We would also like to get pictures of the members who play as fill-ins or as singles. The more guys we get pictures of the easier it is for everyone to recognize each other.
A member recently questioned the paying of $5.00 sweeps money if they did not like the format of the day but still wanted to play. If you are a member or a guest of a member the answer is you pay if you play within the allocated Tee Times which is supporting the Club which is supporting the Golf Course which is supporting the Club by offering discounted Green Fees and discounts on certain items purchased in the Pro Shop on Monday mornings, besides making 3 and ½ hours of Tee Times available to the Club each Monday morning.
When a Member signs in at the Greeter’s Table before play on Monday the format for the following Monday is displayed on the Information Board. If the format for the coming Monday is not one of his favorites and he may not play, ideally he should release his slot to allow a singles member to have a chance to play when he may not normally play.
